But, as a matter of fact, snoring is no laughing matter. It is an issue of serious concern. It disrupts the sleep of a bedmate. Not only this, the loud sound vibrations could be an indicator of an underlying health issue in the person suffering it.

If you share a bed with a habitual snorer who disturbs your heavenly silence each night, sooner or later you will be compelled to look for ways to tackle the problem. · Nasal Strips And Dilators 

Nasal strips and dilators minimize the prattling sounds by opening up the nostrils and nasal passages. In doing so, they improve air flow through the nose. · Mouthpiece

Mouth guards as anti-snoring aids have been specially engineered for severe snorers. It repositions the jaw and supports the chin ensuring that the soft tissues on the back wall of the throat do not over-relax. It also prevents the tongue from falling back against the airway, which is another cause for snoring.

A snoring mouthpiece is worn in the mouth and is fitted by means of tiny pegs. You can get one custom-made at a dentist’s or doctor’s office or you can buy a self-adjusting version at the chemists.

Apart from the aforementioned aids to prevent snoring, there are more devices such as the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) masks. It is a breathing machine used to relieve snoring in persons suffering from Sleep Apnea. With a lot of adjustments and settings, it requires the assistance of a medical professional.
